This site contains the recollections of Danny Traverso and his wife, Della Lopez, transcribed between 1998 and 2002. It isn't such a remarkable story, but it is a very American one.

The site recounts growing up in the Great Depression, going overseas in WW II and raising a family and pursuing the American Dream after the war. It is also a brief history of the Traverso and Lopez families in Texas. With Official Ships Logs, Convoy and Naval Armed Guard reports and other research, dates and details refreshed old memories.
